Sounds like the AVI chunk index is missing/corrupt. Try loading it into VirtualDub & just doing a direct stream copy on both the audio & video streams VirtualDub will re-mux the streams & rebuild a new index.

there is a problem in chapters assignement when dealing with demuxed mpeg2 streams. It should have been fixed with release 2.1.3 Alpha . Give a try to it.

BatchMux version ... avi audio out of sync fix? - virtualdubmod , avi demux ... Problem decoding DVDs, Pineapple Express, My Best friend's Girl, etc - If you are running the latest versions and they don't work, you can either wait, or try some of the old standbys. For every disc some here says they cannot rip with the newest tools, someone will come out and say they did it with DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink .

How much is vertical resolution of anamorphic widescreen video in 4:3 TVs? And how much is vertical resolution of non anamorphic video in 4:3 TVs? How do you calculate it?

Can anyone help me out with this one. I downloaded a video given by my client and it is formated in g2m3 codec. I downloaded the video codec for wmp11 so I could view it. The problem is how could i convert this to either .avi or .mpeg?... DVD to AVI along with subs? - Does AutoGK allow you to select subtitles from your computer?

SRT subs don't have special typesettings.
I know that. You're the one that in your opening post included the SRTs as being OK. Convert your ASS subs to SSA then and choose the font, color, position, size, etc.

Anyway after a LOT of trial and error I managed to get a reasonable result, here's what I did eventually:
Opened the vob file with AviDemux (because vdub can't process AC3) and encoded the video as huffyuv and audio as wave (PCM).
opened the resulting file with VirtualDub , selected the part that I need, cr ... slow playback on 1080p videos with COREAVC - This is what DXVA checker shows:

Perhaps a screenshot of GSpot with the AVI loaded would help us figure out why AVIdemux is having problems with it.... And welcome to our forums. :)... DVD to AVI - And there are a ton of programs that will keep the subs, either as separate files or burned or embedded into the video. One such program is AutoGK . It creates XviD or DivX AVIs, though, and as minidv2dvd says, any reencoding lowers the quality.... Indoor Antenna recommendation - RG59 is thinner. OK for indoor antenna. RG6 is heaver Duty for longer runs.
That Radio Shack antenna might work. Point it to Manhattan. Some channels are in New Jersey. Make sure you can return it.... On Quality and Quantity - Recently, events in my life have conspired to bring my schedule from incorporating gaming several times each week to running only one weekly game. This was a tough adjustment at first, but rather paradoxically I've found that gaming less has heightened my appreciation for and interest in my long-time hobby.
